The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Omar Tello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Guter, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Ereinotz in the 8th minute of play forced Cienaguita AFC's goalkeeper Ildefonso Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Guter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Tello came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cienaguita AFC's Modesto Txatxu. But to his dismay, Modesto Txatxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Camilo Guter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Omar Tello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ildefonso Elazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Abeita in the 23rd minute. Cienaguita AFC's Ildefonso Elazar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Cienaguita AFC from getting a goal against them. Ildefonso Elazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Ereinotz in the 26th minute of play. Marcos Abeita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Elazar having to interfere. DONBOSCO's Omar Tello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Guter in the 33rd minute of play. After 33 played minutes DONBOSCO got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Nazario. If Camilo Guter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The supporters of Cienaguita AFC booed when DONBOSCO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Abeita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Mon charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquin Mon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cienaguita AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jorge Bieito hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Ereinotz in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Elazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Modesto Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Tello having to interfere. A hard shot 80 in the game by Modesto Txatxu from a close distance when the talented Omar Tello managed to make a qualified save. DONBOSCO's players were relieved. DONBOSCO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Camilo Guter scored to the left of an out of position Omar Tello, making the score, 0-3. Omar Tello was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Camilo Guter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 86 minute of play. Cienaguita AFC played a much better game than DONBOSCO and deserved their victory. The DONBOSCO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
