Spectators: 6647 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hilario Orlandus kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafino Abajas in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haroldo Confesor saved Esperanza from getting behind. Americo Christobal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilario Orlandus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th match minute, Curuzú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Abajas to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Esperanza booed when Curuzú FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Gutxi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Esperanza's goalkeeper Haroldo Confesor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Ferran. Severino Gomez hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute of the match, Fidel Ferran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Haroldo Confesor was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 23 minutes of play, Curuzú FC's Fidel Ferran made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Confesor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Serafino Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Confesor having to interfere. Marcos Castulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Americo Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, one of Curuzú FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Curuzú FC's Fidel Ferran got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serafino Abajas struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Haroldo Confesor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curuzú FC.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafino Abajas was the one to do the kick off. Serafino Abajas scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haroldo Confesor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hilario Orlandus in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Americo Christobal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albano Gutxi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Curuzú FC's zone, Hilario Orlandus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Christobal came out of the goal and Hilario Orlandus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the game, Erasmo Lertxun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curuzú FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esperanza the free kick. The supporters of Esperanza booed when Curuzú FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Lertxun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Xabier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Americo Christobal made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Curuzú FC's Rafael Bonadona got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Hilario Orlandus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Americo Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albano Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esperanza's Haroldo Confesor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Ferran in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fidel Ferran in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 75th minute Fidel Ferran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Confesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Gomez's late challenge caught a Curuzú FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Gomez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Esperanza's Severino Gomez got a free kick in the 76th minute. Haroldo Confesor came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Curuzú FC's Rafael Bonadona. But to his dismay, Rafael Bonadona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Fidel Ferran came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Curuzú FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Ferran couldn't finish the play. Serafino Abajas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haroldo Confesor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Fidel Ferran struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Haroldo Confesor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curuzú FC. In the 92nd match minute, Esperanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Tancredo to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Fidel Ferran notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Esperanza's Haroldo Confesor. Haroldo Confesor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Curuzú FC were the better team. Curuzú FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
