Americo Christobal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Resaka. When Vahdet Turan fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Resaka's protests and gave Vahdet Turan a yellow card for diving instead. Americo Christobal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Birila, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Albano Gutxi made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Umbruso. La Resaka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the final whistle sounded La Resaka left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Curuzú FC.
