Gervasio Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Pacifico in the 31st minute of play. 50 minutes had been played when some careless play by Once Guerreros's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eusebio Oskarbi was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo Lamadrid's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Club Deportivo Lamadrid's Eusebio Oskarbi to fire away a dangerous shot which Gervasio Santio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosme Amaya to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Once Guerreros's Benigno Ferran got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 67th match minute, Once Guerreros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Ubendu to maneuver through the defense. If Cosme Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Once Guerreros players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
