Herminio Mikolas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Quintun in the 5th minute of the match. After 8 minutes, Arturo Ixaka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balon Pie FC and the Plaza F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arturo Ixaka kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gogo Oinatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ernesto Beturian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Plaza F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Ramos came free, but Herminio Mikolas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Guillelmus hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Fermin Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Balon Pie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Ramos couldn't finish the play. The Plaza F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Plaza F.C.'s Santos Castulo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Severiano Quintun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Balon Pie FC booed when Plaza F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Xabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severiano Quintun in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Mikolas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Balon Pie FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Arturo Ixaka hit a great ball. Fermin Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Mikolas having to interfere. Lorenzo Lartaun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Beturian having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fermin Ramos to make the kick off. If Severiano Quintun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gogo Oinatz might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Beturian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gogo Oinatz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute, Santos Castulo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Plaza F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Ramos came free, but Herminio Mikolas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Fermin Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balon Pie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, one of Plaza F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Plaza F.C.. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Balon Pie FC's Tadeo Vachon got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Herminio Mikolas. After having played for 73 minutes, Severiano Quintun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balon Pie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Quintun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Plaza F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Ramos came free, but Herminio Mikolas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herminio Mikolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Quintun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Plaza F.C.'s Herminio Mikolas got control of the ball when Severiano Quintun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amado Xabel kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Sebastian Guillelmus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Severiano Quintun made a precise shot to the right of Herminio Mikolas. Plaza F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Plaza F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Balon Pie FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
