Delmar Pacho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvio Inko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 14th minute when Cosme Gomez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Delmar Pacho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Silvio Inko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Big-Pns's goalkeeper Jacinto Policarpio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosme Gomez. After 23 played minutes Garré AFC got a freekick which was hit by Roman Colon. During the 24th minute of the match Casimiro Walme completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Casimiro Walme a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 25th minute, Casimiro Walme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Gomez got free with Jacinto Policarpio in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosme Peruanton in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Policarpio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Santiago Goi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Inko. Garré AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Goi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Adan Eleazar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Benicio Firman lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Vicente Honesto shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laureano Cheche was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Garré AFC's zone, Delmar Pacho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Inko came out of the goal and Delmar Pacho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Goi took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvio Inko. Silvio Inko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Santiago Goi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Big-Pns's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Goi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Inko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
