Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 140) Club Atletico El Pibe's Rolando Rutenio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elvio La Forte hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Silvestre Ler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico El Pibe's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Ler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Paul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Silvestre Ler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Paul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolando Rutenio's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Jacinto Urdin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Paul. Arroyito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Urdin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Elvio La Forte's late challenge caught a Club Atletico El Pibe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvio La Forte helped the player get up and apologised. Arroyito's Anibal Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Rutenio in the 26th minute of play. Anibal Paul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Rutenio, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes, Burtt Orvad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arroyito and the Club Atletico El Pibe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Arroyito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burtt Orvad to maneuver through the defense. Anibal Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Ler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Rutenio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Paul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Silvestre Ler took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anibal Paul. Anibal Paul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 43 minutes into the game, Rolando Rutenio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Anibal Paul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

After 53 minutes, Silvestre Ler made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Arroyito's Anibal Paul tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Rolando Rutenio took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Anibal Paul to make any attempt to save it. After 60 minutes, Silvestre Ler made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Arroyito's Anibal Paul tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvestre Lers short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Anibal Paul to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 66th minute, Oswald Raich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Silvestre Ler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anibal Paul was a little too slow when Rolando Rutenio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-9. After 73 minutes, Silvestre Ler made it 0-10 with a short kick to the right side. Arroyito's Anibal Paul tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Club Atletico El Pibe's Rolando Rutenio in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th minute, Elvio La Forte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Rutenio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Anibal Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Arroyito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Hegoi to maneuver through the defense. When Ciriaco Niguel came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Club Atletico El Pibe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Niguel couldn't finish the play. Silvestre Ler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atletico El Pibe's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
