After 36 minutes of play, Deportivo Portugues's Luis Barea made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Carlos Ferraz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Honorato Baleren hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Svante Beck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Portugues's supporters rose to their feet, but Svante Beck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Carlos Ferraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Carlos Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svante Beck in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, NEWCASTLE CORDOBES F.C.'s Honorato Baleren seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Honorato Baleren the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of NEWCASTLE CORDOBES F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Honorato Baleren had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of NEWCASTLE CORDOBES F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Portugues:s goal.

The wind increased when Natalio Ramone made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the NEWCASTLE CORDOBES F.C. defense, Luis Barea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Carlos Ferraz. The NEWCASTLE CORDOBES F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Carlos Ferraz should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Portugues left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than NEWCASTLE CORDOBES F.C..
