When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Jonatan Gergori took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Apolo Fero to make any attempt to save it. Hualcupén's Anier Paez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Timoteo Lizbeth in the 8 minute of the game. Jonatan Gergori struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Apolo Fero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hualcupén. Zacarias Lauro kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Apolo Fero acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Melquiades Baladi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Lain in the 23rd minute of play forced Hualcupén's goalkeeper Ildefonso Savion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 24 minutes on the clock, Anier Paez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Hualcupén's Anier Paez got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ubaldo Estevez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ildefonso Savion. Hualcupén's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonatan Gergori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Fero having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonatan Gergori to make the kick off. A collision led to Hualcupén getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Candido Aurken hit a great ball. Atilano Lains short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Ildefonso Savion to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Los Malevos getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ubaldo Estevez hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Osvaldo Licerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilano Lain took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ildefonso Savion. Ildefonso Savion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Timoteo Lizbeth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ildefonso Savion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Malevos's goalkeeper Apolo Fero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Candido Aurken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hualcupén's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Malevos the free kick. A collision led to Hualcupén getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Candido Aurken hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Los Malevos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
