Erubiel Damarios short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Gaspar Pedroso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 21st minute, Mats Ödmann made a precise shot to the right of Carolo Osmundo. Che Guevara Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 24 minutes into the game, Esquina FC's Diego Telo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carolo Osmundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mats Ödmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 30 minutes, Diego Telo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esquina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Telo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Mats Ödmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Carolo Osmundo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mats Ödmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Telo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Gabriel Padro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Che Guevara Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquina FC the free kick. After the first half Esquina FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mats Ödmann made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Mats Ödmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esquina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mats Ödmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Osmundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute Diego Telo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Osmundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Osmundo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Telo got free with Carolo Osmundo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Mats Ödmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esquina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mats Ödmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
