Godofredo Baraquiel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Godofredo Baraquiel struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Artemio Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. RACING CLUB's Prospero Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Ermegildo Poz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Poz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Gines. RACING CLUB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ermegildo Poz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Baraquiel in the 58th minute of play forced RACING CLUB's goalkeeper Vicente Gines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Fausto Gentza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Somisa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Gentza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Godofredo Baraquiel came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Club Somisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Baraquiel couldn't finish the play. Vicente Gines came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Somisa's Luisito Jenaro. But to his dismay, Luisito Jenaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Godofredo Baraquiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Gines having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Justino Cordarrel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artemio Michael. That made the score 5-1 in the 72 minute of play. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Justino Cordarrel sped through Club Somisa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Artemio Michael. RACING CLUB's Vicente Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Jenaro in the 87th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelino Ur during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelino Ur hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Fausto Gentza didn't quite understand what happened when in the 93 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Godofredo Baraquiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Club Somisa were the better team. Club Somisa's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
