Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Rocio in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Cucao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abelardo Rocio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Cucao having to interfere. In the 15th minute Abelardo Rocio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Rocio struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Iker Cucao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitarios Tucuman. Gilberto Xabier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteve Gau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Iker Cucao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abelardo Rocio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. EVERTON LP. FC.'s Iker Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Rocio in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th match minute, EVERTON LP. FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Pello to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Paskal to make the kick off. Esteve Gau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Cucao having to interfere. Eulalio Pello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Gilesindo having to interfere. If Eulalio Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. EVERTON LP. FC.'s Iker Cucao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save EVERTON LP. FC. from getting a goal against them. Paolo Cresenciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Cucao having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, EVERTON LP. FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. The nice shot from Abelardo Rocio in the 77thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Iker Cucao had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. A collision led to EVERTON LP. FC. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Baldomiro Sagrario hit a great ball. When Abelardo Rocio came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Universitarios Tucuman fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Rocio couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, EVERTON LP. FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Rocio came free, but Iker Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Ubaldo Manuelo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Rocio got free with Iker Cucao in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Universitarios Tucuman's Ernesto Austin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Iker Cucao but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eulalio Pello managed to get in a good position for a shot. EVERTON LP. FC.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eulalio Pello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Gilesindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Universitarios Tucuman's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
