Nestor Koldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Jerico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Tomes short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Justino Mon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucas Nahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Justino Mon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Koldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Guillem in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Nahia in the 32nd minute of play forced Candelaria's goalkeeper Justino Mon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Tome in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justino Mon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uriel Lorencio struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Justino Mon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Tigre. Lucas Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gaspar Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Candelaria were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Guillem was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Club Atletico Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Platon. Ramiro Guillem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nestor Koldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Modesto Platon's late challenge caught a Candelaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Modesto Platon helped the player get up and apologised. Modesto Platon kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Siro Cortez hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Justino Mon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Tome's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria's zone, Gaspar Tome stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Mon came out of the goal and Gaspar Tome tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Club Atletico Tigre booed when Candelaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Eli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Martxelin kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Silvio Elorri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Justino Mon. Candelaria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Justino Mon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Tome in the 91st minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match Luciano Ishmael shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justino Mon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Club Atletico Tigre were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
