The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th play minute Zeledon Marquez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eriberto Bernard. 1-0. Ruben Lucian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Hermengildo Olando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeledon Marquez got free with Eriberto Bernard in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Pérez FC booed when Bossi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Bernard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Corderro in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bossi AFC's zone, Zeledon Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Bernard came out of the goal and Zeledon Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Bossi AFC's Santiago Gamus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermengildo Olando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Ruben Lucian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bossi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Lucian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnulfo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Olando having to interfere. If Ruben Lucian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermengildo Olando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Lucian, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Hermengildo Olando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Gamus's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bossi AFC's Eriberto Bernard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Corderro in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Bossi AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Arnulfo Garcia hit a great ball. Ariel Corderro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd match minute, Bossi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Garcia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Marquez in the 65th minute of play forced Bossi AFC's goalkeeper Eriberto Bernard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Olando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Lucian in the 70th minute of the match. Guaberto Igon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Olando was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Igor Cordeiro. Hermengildo Olando acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dionisio Berto. Hermengildo Olando made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Santiago Gamus sent off a good shot on target. Santiago Gamus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Hermengildo Olando made a huge save. When Pedro Celio fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pérez FC's protests and gave Pedro Celio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Pedro Celio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Hermengildo Olando managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Bossi AFC's Santiago Gamus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruben Lucian kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hermengildo Olando. That made the score 2-1 in the 97 minute of play. Bossi AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
