But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Cuartio couldn't finish the play. Julian Carlomagno made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Abelardo Lobo sent off a good shot on target. Natalio Caitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Carlomagno having to interfere. Natalio Caitano struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Julian Carlomagno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Isidro FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Domingo Evis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maipú AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Evis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Orlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Domingo Evis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Orlan having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Godfredo Playo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Isidro FC's Maximo Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Playo in the 44th minute of play. If Godfredo Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The San Isidro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maipú AFC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Natalio Caitano to strike the kick off in the second half. Patricio Bernal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Maximo Orlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Maipú AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Caitano came free, but Julian Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Orlan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atilano Serafo's late challenge caught a Maipú AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 78th match minute, San Isidro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Serafo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in San Isidro FC's zone, Godfredo Playo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Orlan came out of the goal and Godfredo Playo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Domingo Evis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maipú AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Evis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maipú AFC's goalkeeper Julian Carlomagno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godfredo Playo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Orlan having to interfere. 89 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Maipú AFC's Godfredo Playo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Domingo Evis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
