Christian Pedroso's late challenge caught a DIABLOS ROJOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Maltide AFC's Christian Pedroso got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Primož Janežič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Maltide AFC's Prudencio Emmanuel got a free kick in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Primož Janežič in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabricio Cayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in DIABLOS ROJOS's zone, Alberto Gaztea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Fernanco came out of the goal and Alberto Gaztea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Fonso during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes DIABLOS ROJOS got a freekick which was hit by Santos Fonso. When Celedonio Fagildo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DIABLOS ROJOS's protests and gave Celedonio Fagildo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Celedonio Fagildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabricio Cayo made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Delmar Arias sent off a good shot on target. Lisandro Chabier took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabricio Cayo. Fabricio Cayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Maltide AFC's zone, Delmar Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Cayo came out of the goal and Delmar Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Benjamin Abecia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Maltide AFC's Fabricio Cayo got control of the ball when Delmar Arias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Primož Janežič blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabricio Cayo having to make a save. If Delmar Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delmar Arias to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Maltide AFC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Froylan. Primož Janežič struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Fabricio Cayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DIABLOS ROJOS. With a little luck, DIABLOS ROJOS's Wilfredo Fernanco got control of the ball when Christian Pedroso tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Alberto Gaztea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lisandro Chabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Maltide AFC's zone, Primož Janežič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Cayo came out of the goal and Primož Janežič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prudencio Emmanuel charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prudencio Emmanuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Maltide AFC got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Emmanuel. 73 minutes into the game, Romulo Lizer threw the ball into play from the sideline. DIABLOS ROJOS's Celedonio Fagildo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Delmar Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Cayo having to interfere. Fabricio Cayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmar Arias's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primož Janežič in the 79th minute of play forced Maltide AFC's goalkeeper Fabricio Cayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Maltide AFC's Tomás Veronica broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Alberto Gaztea came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Maltide AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Gaztea couldn't finish the play. Primož Janežič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Santos Fonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Abecia's late challenge caught a DIABLOS ROJOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Abecia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Maltide AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Benjamin Abecia hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the DIABLOS ROJOS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
