Mario Eate charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mario Eate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. C.A. Villa Alvear Chaco's Santos Cilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Joachim in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes in the game, German Otsoko fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fidel Botello having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Francisco Rosio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Botello. Volcan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Rosio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Otsoko got free with Fidel Botello in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Volcan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after German Otsoko fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. C.A. Villa Alvear Chaco's Flavio Lia got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Ado in the 24th minute of play forced C.A. Villa Alvear Chaco's goalkeeper Santos Cilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Ado took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santos Cilio. Santos Cilio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, C.A. Villa Alvear Chaco's Fabian Federigo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fidel Botello. After having played for 37 minutes, German Otsoko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Villa Alvear Chaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Otsoko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavio Lia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fidel Botello having to make a save. In the 40th minute, German Otsoko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Samuca Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the C.A. Villa Alvear Chaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Palmeira couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Villa Alvear Chaco's Filomeno Castel got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Mario Eate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If German Otsoko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Francisco Rosio notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Volcan's Fidel Botello. Fidel Botello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. German Otsoko succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-1. Volcan's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
