The corner led Sopanta's Alejo Domenec to fire away a dangerous shot which Clodoveo Valentine despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Eustaquio Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 15 minutes, Eustaquio Eder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorio Cordareo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Christian Gaufred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Bazkoare kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Celestino Beila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorio Cordareo to make the kick off. In the 59th minute Eustaquio Eder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Ted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Ted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Eder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Beila in the 67th minute of play forced Sopanta's goalkeeper Ivan Ted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramon Cordairo struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Clodoveo Valentine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sopanta. Celestino Beila might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Ted. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Beila ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 80 minutes, Eustaquio Eder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustaquio Eder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Eustaquio Eder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astra's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustaquio Eder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Ted breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celestino Beila in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Ted prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Eustaquio Eder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Astra booed when Sopanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Bazkoare didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sopanta were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
