One of La Resaca F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barraquero FC:s goal. After 12 played minutes Barraquero FC got a freekick which was hit by Santos Ubelteso. Teodoro Ler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Orti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Orti took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Ler. Teodoro Ler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Orti in the 24th minute of play forced Barraquero FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Ler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anacleto Martino came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the La Resaca F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Martino couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Martino in the 29th minute of play forced Barraquero FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Ler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosme Abancens charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosme Abancens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Barraquero FC's zone, Jonathan Orti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Ler came out of the goal and Jonathan Orti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amado Belmiro was the one to do the kick off. Amado Belmiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmacio Lucian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amado Belmiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Placido Xabel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalmacio Lucian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Abel Arotza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
