In the 14th minute of the match, Gaspar Procopio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raul Sendoa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 18 minutes into the match, Rolando Lopez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mercedes C.A.'s Clodoveo Alvarez. Clodoveo Alvarez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adan Pitin hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Eloy Igon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talleres FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Bladi in the 30th minute of play forced Talleres FC's goalkeeper Raul Sendoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Eloy Igon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clodoveo Alvarez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Emiliano Jacob came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raul Sendoa could save by the left post. Raul Sendoa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaspar Procopio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 41 minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvaro Bladi was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rolando Lopez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clodoveo Alvarez, 1-4. In the 58th minute, Eloy Igon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Talleres FC's Eloy Igon got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Alvaro Bladi notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Talleres FC's Raul Sendoa. Raul Sendoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raul Sendoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Jacob, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Eloy Igon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Cayetano Bastia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raul Sendoa. Talleres FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cayetano Bastia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. 86 minutes into the match, Mercedes C.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Lopez came free, but Clodoveo Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cayetano Bastia kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Talleres FC's Rolando Lopez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Clodoveo Alvarez. That made the score 3-5 after 88 minutes of play. Eloy Igon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Clodoveo Alvarez made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Emiliano Jacob managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes C.A.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Emiliano Jacob was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Sendoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, Mercedes C.A.'s goalkeeper Clodoveo Alvarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Igon. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Talleres FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
