Justino Salbatore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albino Leheren in the 10th minute. Silvio Errolan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Claudio Sadurni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo Cristal's Justino Salbatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Herrera in the 20th minute of play. When Deportivo Cristal's Silvio Errolan in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Agustín's goalie prevented a goal. Jaime Ponce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justino Salbatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Virila in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Herrera in the 27th minute of play forced Deportivo Cristal's goalkeeper Justino Salbatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Ruben Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Salbatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Cristal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Albino Leheren scored to the left of an out of position Justino Salbatore, making the score, 1-1. In the 36thth minute of the game Silvio Errolan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Agustín's Claudio Sadurni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvio Errolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donato Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Cugat was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. Justino Salbatore had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Lorenzo Jakes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 55th minute of the match AFC Agustín got a corner. Deportivo Cristal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lorenzo Jakes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lorenzo Jakes made a great header on AFC Agustín's corner, it was just that Deportivo Cristal's Justino Salbatore managed to reach the ball for a save. If Donato Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Isaias Isias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Sadurni made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Donato Frasco sent off a good shot on target. Candido Bernard struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Claudio Sadurni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Cristal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Ponce during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Deportivo Cristal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Ponce to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Cesar Harriet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justino Salbatore was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Lorenzo Jakes kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. With a little luck, AFC Agustín's Claudio Sadurni got control of the ball when Donato Frasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Ponce in the 86th minute of play forced AFC Agustín's goalkeeper Claudio Sadurni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Jaime Ponce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Cristal's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Ponce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Sadurni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jaime Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Ponce struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Claudio Sadurni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Cristal. In the 97th minute Isaias Isias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Sadurni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Cristal's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AFC Agustín had won, even though Deportivo Cristal had held more of the ball.
