Donato Frasco's late challenge caught a Huracan Detroit's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Frasco helped the player get up and apologised. Donato Frasco hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Deportivo Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Errolan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvio Errolan scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro Illart, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Deportivo Cristal's Justino Salbatore got control of the ball when Aldo Ostots tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Huracan Detroit's Aldo Ostots nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
