The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustavo Froylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Guardia, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Cristian Guardia scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Froylan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardo Simone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Gustavo Froylan made a huge save. After 19 played minutes Club Atlético Arijón got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Victoro. Bernardo Simone took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Froylan. Gustavo Froylan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leone Messi in the 25th minute of play forced Club Atlético Arijón's goalkeeper Gustavo Froylan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Froylan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Guardia in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute of the match, Cristian Guardia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gustavo Froylan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Club Atlético Arijón booed when Vergara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. 俞伟超 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Bernardo Simone made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Froylan. Club Atlético Arijón's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murilo Hermes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rene Ulizes hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Leone Messi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Froylan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leone Messi in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Bernardo Simone notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Club Atlético Arijón's Gustavo Froylan. Gustavo Froylan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo Froylan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Simone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes of play, Vergara's Cristian Guardia made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Froylan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 76 played minutes Vergara got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Fidencio. 80 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Arijón's goal looked a bit too open when Leone Messi came free, but Gustavo Froylan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Siro Machado hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Siro Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Arijón's goal looked a bit too open when Leone Messi came free, but Gustavo Froylan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Froylan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Guardia in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Club Atlético Arijón getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rene Ulizes hit a great ball. Gustavo Froylan came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Vergara's Leone Messi. But to his dismay, Leone Messi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Arijón players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vergara.
