In the 8th minute Tommy Alfredsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Errando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Independiente Rivadavia booed when Pasion Villera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Haimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Denis Francis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 16th minute Everardo Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Errando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independiente Rivadavia's Anier Ramirez pulled a muscle in his leg after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommy Alfredsen during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Pasion Villera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Alfredsen to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Tommy Alfredsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Errando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Haroldo Chinto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. A collision led to Independiente Rivadavia getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Haroldo Chinto hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Raimundo Laurgain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andres Errando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Alfredsen in the 38th minute of play forced Independiente Rivadavia's goalkeeper Andres Errando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes Pasion Villera got a freekick which was hit by Runar Ahlsen. Ramiro Sal struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Humberto Karmel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente Rivadavia. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tommy Alfredsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Laurgain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Andres Errando made a huge save. In the 57th minute Everardo Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Errando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Ramiro Sal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente Rivadavia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Sal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eulalio Kismi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Pasion Villera's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 69 minutes, Tommy Alfredsen made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Independiente Rivadavia's Andres Errando tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Andres Errando was a little too slow when Tommy Alfredsen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-6. 78 minutes into the match, Everardo Menendo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andres Errando, 0-7. Ramiro Sal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Karmel having to interfere. Jon Blomqvist took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Karmel. Humberto Karmel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. In the 94th minute, Ramiro Sal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente Rivadavia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-7. Pasion Villera's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
