The supporters of Palermo FC booed when Racing Atletic Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Tebaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leandro Martxel came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Palermo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Martxel couldn't finish the play. Leandro Martxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Vedillo having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Leandro Martxel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Racing Atletic Club's Aaron Vedillo. Aaron Vedillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Segundo Berasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Vedillo having to interfere. Aaron Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Martxel in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Racing Atletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Segundo Berasko came free, but Aaron Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Vedillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Martxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Martxel in the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Racing Atletic Club getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Narciso Gombal hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Alfredo Lizer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Vedillo skillfully saved the ball. Leandro Martxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Vedillo having to interfere. Leandro Martxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Aaron Vedillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Segundo Berasko fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo FC's protests and gave Segundo Berasko a yellow card for diving instead. When Leandro Martxel came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Palermo FC fans jumped to their feet. The audience was convinced that Leandro Martxel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Vedillo was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Segundo Berasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Palermo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Leandro Martxel made the kick off in the second half. Conrado Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aaron Vedillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Palermo FC's Leandro Martxel in the 54th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Aaron Vedillo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Racing Atletic Club through an amazing save. With a little luck, Racing Atletic Club's Aaron Vedillo got control of the ball when Segundo Berasko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Martxel in the 64th minute of play forced Racing Atletic Club's goalkeeper Aaron Vedillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Vedillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Martxel in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Anastasio Orlin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Severo Ferrer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Segundo Berasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Alonzo Seguinus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Atletic Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Seguinus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severo Ferrer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Beltza hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Racing Atletic Club's Aaron Vedillo got control of the ball when Segundo Berasko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Martxel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Aaron Vedillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Palermo FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Racing Atletic Club to leave the ground with a draw.
