Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Leo Pelagius started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Defensores Del Sur were furious when Gavino Medardo was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 2 minutes into the game, one of Defensores Del Sur:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Dimas in the 6th minute of play forced Defensores Del Sur's goalkeeper Mariano Justin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Humberto Sauveur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florentino Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Rocio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Justin came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Zavalía's William Eckegren. But to his dismay, William Eckegren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Lucio Dimas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariano Justin. Defensores Del Sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Dimas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Defensores Del Sur's Mariano Justin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Abaurre in the 22nd minute of play. Lucio Dimas took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mariano Justin. Mariano Justin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Leo Pelagius was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Defensores Del Sur's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Pelagius in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Javiero saved Zavalía from getting behind. When Basilio Mino fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zavalía's protests and gave Basilio Mino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Defensores Del Sur booed when Zavalía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Cosme Abaurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Leo Pelagius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leo Pelagius came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Defensores Del Sur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Pelagius couldn't finish the play. If Cosme Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Justin came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Zavalía's Lucio Dimas. But to his dismay, Lucio Dimas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosme Abaurre to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Defensores Del Sur defense, William Eckegren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Justin. The Defensores Del Sur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Justin should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Defensores Del Sur's Mariano Justin got control of the ball when Lucio Dimas tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Zavalía getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Marian Jaraczeski hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Samuel Virila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores Del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Virila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Javiero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, Zavalía's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Pelagius came free, but Florentino Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Defensores Del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Abaurre came free, but Mariano Justin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Defensores Del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when William Eckegren came free, but Mariano Justin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Defensores Del Sur's zone, Cosme Abaurre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Justin came out of the goal and Cosme Abaurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Pelagius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Rocio scored 1-5 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florentino Javiero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Defensores Del Sur getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Teodosio Bras hit a great ball. When the match was over Zavalía could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Defensores Del Sur throughout the match.
