The supporters of Malvinas FC booed when Chavarría AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan ter Averst didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Chavarría AFC's Edgard Seme got control of the ball when Placido Ferrer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Placido Ferrer hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Malvinas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 李骏迪 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Placido Ferrer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Edgard Seme made a huge save. 李骏迪 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Chavarría AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zacarias Joey to strike the kick off in the second half. Alvaro Salvatore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Joey got free with Alvaro Salvatore in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If 李骏迪 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
