Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. When Gavino Telmo got free in front of the goal in the 89th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Paulo Goyo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Varvarco fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mandiyú were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
