After 12 played minutes Mandiyú got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Pelayo. Mandiyú's Gavino Telmo pulled a muscle in his back after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 13 minutes, Ricardo Madaleno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Verde and the Mandiyú players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mandiyú made a substitution. Rafael Hitzeder replaced Gavino Telmo. The supporters of Mandiyú booed when La Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Madaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Ugaitz scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fidel Otsoa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiburcio Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Abel Ekhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of La Verde booed when Mandiyú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Merexildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rafael Hitzeder came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mandiyú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Hitzeder couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Damaso Pelayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Rosalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Hitzeder in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Verde's Florentino Montxo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Abel Rosalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Hitzeder in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Mandiyú got a corner. La Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Honorio Lauaxeta ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Rafael Hitzeder managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

Rafael Hitzeder took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Rosalio. Abel Rosalio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rafael Hitzeder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandiyú's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Hitzeder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Rosalio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliberto Iyan hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Rafael Hitzeder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mandiyú fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 83 minutes into the game, Laureano Txilar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Verde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mandiyú the free kick. When Rafael Hitzeder came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mandiyú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Hitzeder couldn't finish the play. In the 85th match minute, La Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Montxo to maneuver through the defense. Abel Ekhi kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jacinto Ugaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Fidel Otsoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of La Verde's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. La Verde may have spent more time on the ball, but Mandiyú were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
