The supporters of Avellaneda booed when Doping Positivo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Gaitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Avellaneda's Clodoveo Maureo tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Fausto Matro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doping Positivo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Matro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doping Positivo FC's Anastasio Gitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Cresconio in the 31st minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Doping Positivo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Viviano came free, but Anastasio Gitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anastasio Gitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Baleren, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 40 played minutes Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Baleren. A collision led to Avellaneda getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Modesto Clemencin hit a great ball. Arnaldo Isadore was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, one of Avellaneda:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Doping Positivo FC's Camilo Esquipula got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hugo Vedillo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Doping Positivo FC's Anastasio Gitano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Doping Positivo FC from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the match, Doping Positivo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Cresconio came free, but Anastasio Gitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Doping Positivo FC's goalkeeper Anastasio Gitano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Avellaneda's Ernesto Cresconio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anastasio Gitano. Anastasio Gitano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
