The audience was convinced that Gabriel Jusepe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Cai was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Club Atletico San Jorge defense, Jose Maju kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Cai. The Club Atletico San Jorge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Cai should have stopped the shot. Jocolí's Isaac Bernat got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jonathan Cai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jocolí. Jose Maju's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Cai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Clodoveo Baraquiel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Higinio Sagrario having to make a save.
