A very good chance for a goal. Salvador Innocenzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Urbes in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. RIVER PLATE's zone, Jairo Obeko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Innocenzio came out of the goal and Jairo Obeko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salvador Innocenzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Urbes in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, C.A. RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Urbes came free, but Salvador Innocenzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes C.A. RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Abadie. Silverio Urbes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Bernad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Los Mercenarios F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Clis to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Heli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antonio De Santis. Los Mercenarios F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Silverio Urbes came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Los Mercenarios F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Urbes couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silverio Urbes made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Los Mercenarios F.C.'s Dante Bernad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salvador Innocenzio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Silverio Urbes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of C.A. RIVER PLATE's Salvador Innocenzio. Salvador Innocenzio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute, Silverio Urbes made a precise shot to the right of Salvador Innocenzio. C.A. RIVER PLATE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Silverio Urbes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Innocenzio having to make a save. Dante Bernad might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salvador Innocenzio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dante Bernad ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute Fulgencio Clis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Innocenzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Innocenzio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Innocenzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Urbes in the 81st minute of the match. Dante Bernad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Dante Bernad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Mercenarios F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Bernad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 minutes, Dante Bernad made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. C.A. RIVER PLATE's Salvador Innocenzio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st match minute, Los Mercenarios F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Obeko to maneuver through the defense. If Dante Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Silverio Urbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Innocenzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Dante Bernad made a precise shot to the right of Salvador Innocenzio. C.A. RIVER PLATE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Mercenarios F.C. fully deserved thier win.
