Alejandro Casado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Frances having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

55 minutes into the match, Jacinto Vincente dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emiliano Frances, 0-1. Alejandro Casado struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Emiliano Frances didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano de Cordoba. The crowd rose to their feet as Belgrano de Cordoba's Alejandro Casado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Frances. That made the score 1-3 after 83 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Canaleja AFC's zone, Alejandro Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Frances came out of the goal and Alejandro Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alejandro Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Bernardo Gartzea put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Elias Txerran. Belgrano de Cordoba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
