Spectators: 7062 (Terracing: 5298, Seating: 1624, VIP seats: 140) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cirilo Sanduru took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Puelo got a freekick which was hit by Severo Firme. Hector Pacorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hector Pacorro came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Cafayete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Pacorro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Puelo's zone, Guillermo Ferman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Libertad came out of the goal and Guillermo Ferman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Libertad came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Cafayete's Hector Pacorro. But to his dismay, Hector Pacorro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 20th minute, Hector Pacorro made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Libertad. Puelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Pacorro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Libertad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Generoso Silbestre took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Libertad. Flavio Libertad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Puelo's zone, Guillermo Ferman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Libertad came out of the goal and Guillermo Ferman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Puelo's Flavio Libertad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Pacorro in the 35th minute of play. Guillermo Ferman struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Flavio Libertad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cafayete. Hector Pacorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillermo Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Flavio Libertad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Generoso Silbestre kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hector Pacorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Flavio Libertad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Libertad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Ferman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Guillermo Ferman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Galoer in the 66th minute of play. Fernando Argi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Cafayete's Flavio Libertad threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guillermo Ferman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Abelardo Fonda kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Flavio Libertad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Ferman in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Puelo getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Abelardo Fonda hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Ferman in the 87th minute of play forced Puelo's goalkeeper Flavio Libertad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Cafayete's Guillermo Ferman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 95th minute Generoso Silbestre clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. 95 minutes into the game, Abelardo Fonda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cafayete the free kick. Cafayete's Lucio Ruy was substituted for Generoso Silbestre. After 97 played minutes Puelo got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Fonda. When the match was over Cafayete could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Puelo throughout the match.
