After 22 played minutes A L E X I S got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Peyo. Rigoberto Lluciano took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavio James. Octavio James dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Octavio James showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Urbez, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ovidio Reyes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Zygmunt Jaszyna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A L E X I S's Alberto Peyo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Zygmunt Jaszyna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Rigoberto Lluciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio James saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filomeno Osasun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
