Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ricardo Cordarin started the match with the kick off. Ricardo Cordarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marcial Roano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remigio Gergori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Cordarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Marcial Roano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pingüino K's zone, Heine Sebelin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Roano came out of the goal and Heine Sebelin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Ricardo Cordarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcial Roano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ricardo Cordarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Roano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heine Sebelin in the 36th minute of play forced Pingüino K's goalkeeper Marcial Roano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Prospero Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Pietro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes, Curro Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velez Sarsfield and the Pingüino K players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luciano Pietro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carolo Bartuelo. Luciano Pietro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Shepherd in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Ricardo Cordarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Velez Sarsfield were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Shepherd to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Pingüino K got a corner. Velez Sarsfield's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carolo Bartuelo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Pingüino K's Carolo Bartuelo to fire away a dangerous shot which Luciano Pietro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Prospero Shepherd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luciano Pietro. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prospero Shepherd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Heine Sebelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Roano having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Corderall. After 62 played minutes, Pingüino K's Carolo Bartuelo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luciano Pietro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pingüino K reached it. Alfonso Corderall's late challenge caught a Pingüino K's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Corderall helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Velez Sarsfield fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Marcial Roano was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Ricardo Cordarin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ricardo Cordarin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After 75 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Ricardo Cordarin made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Roano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 78 played minutes Pingüino K got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Mitxel. 81 minutes into the match, Ricardo Cordarin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Roano. Pingüino K's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Cordarin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. After a rather tough play, Pingüino K's Prospero Shepherd got a free kick in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Jonathan Astigar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Pietro came out of the goal and Jonathan Astigar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jonathan Astigar came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Pingüino K fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Astigar couldn't finish the play. After having played for 98 minutes, Remigio Gergori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Gergori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Velez Sarsfield played a much better game than Pingüino K and deserved their victory. The Pingüino K players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
