Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabian Petrigai started the match with the kick off. Ovidio Atarrabi kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Emilio Orkatz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eleuterio Gorosti was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Garrayalde's Cristobal Dolfos got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Marcelo Polino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Gorosti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match La Guardia Imperial got a corner. Club Deportivo Garrayalde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romulo Urbez ran over to the corner to take the kick. La Guardia Imperial's Romulo Urbez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eleuterio Gorosti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the game's 11th minute La Guardia Imperial's Romulo Urbez took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Eleuterio Gorosti and thus the score was 0-1. After a rather tough play, La Guardia Imperial's Rodolfo Jakue got a free kick in the 14th minute. A collision led to Club Deportivo Garrayalde getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Basilio Uxio hit a great ball. Emilio Orkatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Gorosti having to interfere. Emilio Orkatz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eleuterio Gorosti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Andres Stanislao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alphonse Rochet. La Guardia Imperial's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Stanislao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Emilio Orkatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41stth minute of the game Emilio Orkatz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Garrayalde's Eleuterio Gorosti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eleuterio Gorosti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Orkatz in the 43rd minute of the match. If Jeronimo Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Orkatz was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of La Guardia Imperial booed when Club Deportivo Garrayalde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Ferran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Urbez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Emilio Orkatz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Orkatz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eleuterio Gorosti came out and tried to block the shot, but Emilio Orkatz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 69th minute. Eleuterio Gorosti was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Uuno Naaris capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Uuno Naaris really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. After 78 minutes, Emilio Orkatz made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Club Deportivo Garrayalde's Eleuterio Gorosti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Garrayalde's goalkeeper Eleuterio Gorosti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vinicio Valery hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Club Deportivo Garrayalde's Florencio Frutos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for La Guardia Imperial. The La Guardia Imperial fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when La Guardia Imperial's Emilio Orkatz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emilio Orkatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Gorosti having to interfere. La Guardia Imperial's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
