Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Derwin in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelino Balasi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lisandro Moise hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Carabajal FC defense, Julio Baleren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelino Balasi. The Carabajal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelino Balasi should have stopped the shot. Roberto Almonte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Adriana Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Puchuzún's Saturnino Felipillo got a free kick in the 25th minute. Renato Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Roberto Almonte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Albino Derwin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Balasi was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Adriana Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Janpier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Janpier made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Carabajal FC's goalkeeper Marcelino Balasi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everardo Janpier got free with Adriana Matia in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adriana Matia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 68 minutes into the match, Puchuzún's goalkeeper Adriana Matia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Everardo Janpier. Adriana Matia stood somewhat misplaced when Renato Vasconcelos came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Marcelino Balasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Baleren in the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Everardo Janpier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carabajal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Everardo Janpier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriana Matia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Carabajal FC booed when Puchuzún was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Pes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Puchuzún's zone, Everardo Janpier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriana Matia came out of the goal and Everardo Janpier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Albino Derwin notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Carabajal FC's Marcelino Balasi. Marcelino Balasi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Carabajal FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
