Justino Domeka hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Cristofol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Ekaitz was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Cayetano Laffitte hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 17 minutes, Fernan Bonifaco made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. River Plate's Esteve Ekaitz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Justino Domeka hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Cristofol in the 22nd minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Esteve Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Cristofol received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Esteve Ekaitz came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicolas Cristofol slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Fernan Bonifaco took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esteve Ekaitz. Esteve Ekaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 34th minute, Nicolas Cristofol fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Esteve Ekaitz, passed just outside the right post. Nicolas Cristofol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteve Ekaitz having to make a save. In the 37th minute, Nicolas Cristofol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Cristofol in the 39th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Esteve Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Cristofol in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Ekaitz saved River Plate from getting behind. Adan Demesio hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adan Demesio to make the kick off. Fernan Bonifaco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Nicolas Cristofol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteve Ekaitz. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteve Ekaitz should have stopped the shot. Esteve Ekaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Bonifaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Cayetano Laffitte got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After 93 minutes of play, 2 de septiembre ASR's Nicolas Cristofol made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteve Ekaitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 97 played minutes 2 de septiembre ASR got a freekick which was hit by Roman Txaran. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Abel Telesforo got a free kick in the 98th minute. 2 de septiembre ASR walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
