The referee ignored Carapaligüe FC's protests and gave Vladimiro Urbez a yellow card for diving instead. Los Galacticos made a substitution. Gerardo Gelmiro replaced Fellipe Pinho. After 11 played minutes Carapaligüe FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Urbez. Conrado Salomon's late challenge caught a Los Galacticos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Salomon helped the player get up and apologised. Angelino Urtzi charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelino Urtzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Los Galacticos's Angelino Urtzi got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of Carapaligüe FC booed when Los Galacticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Urtzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes Los Galacticos got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Regis. Los Galacticos's Benjamin Torstensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Salomon in the 26th minute of play. Gerardo Gelmiro struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Alberto Osasun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Galacticos. Alberto Osasun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gogo Piorno went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Gelmiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Osasun was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carapaligüe FC's goalkeeper Alberto Osasun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Los Galacticos defense, Conrado Salomon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Torstensson. The Los Galacticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Torstensson should have stopped the shot. Benjamin Torstensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gogo Piorno in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Osasun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carapaligüe FC's Alberto Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Gelmiro in the 53rd minute of play. Higinio Incendio took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Torstensson. Benjamin Torstensson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Los Galacticos's Gerardo Gelmiro got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Osasun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Gelmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gogo Piorno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Galacticos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Piorno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Osasun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th match minute, Carapaligüe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Txerran to maneuver through the defense. Constantino Luke missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 69 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alberto Osasun right hand side. In the 71st minute, Rogelio Procopio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Torstensson was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Eustacio Leoncio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eustacio Leoncio really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Aldo Lalla charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Lalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 83 minutes, Conrado Salomon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carapaligüe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Salomon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Los Galacticos getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Angelino Urtzi hit a great ball. Rogelio Procopio kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Benjamin Torstensson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Higinio Incendio. Gerardo Gelmiro struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Alberto Osasun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Galacticos. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
