In the 10th minute of the match, Reynaldo Txordon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anselmo Meireles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 11 minutes into the game, Jonas Abadie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Anselmo Meireles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anselmo Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Abadie in the 20th minute of play. Felipe Librado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Anselmo Meireles made a huge save. Anselmo Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Abadie in the 25th minute. In the 34th minute, Ulises Cordarrell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselmo Meireles was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Anselmo Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Abadie in the 37th minute of play. Dionisio Elizardo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Txordon got free with Anselmo Meireles in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliseo Abechuco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anselmo Meireles came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseo Abechuco slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute, Felipe Librado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Anselmo Meireles, passed just outside the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Abadie made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Abadie in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute Donato Ulizes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Chumo charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Chumo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Deportivo Roca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Chumo to maneuver through the defense. Zacarias Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Elizardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Colon de Santa Fe were furious when Ambrosio Uzuri was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, Deportivo Roca's Sergio Mazuste got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Zacarias Manilan. In the 70thth minute of the game Jonas Abadie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Roca's Anselmo Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Mazuste in the 83rd minute of play forced Colon de Santa Fe's goalkeeper Zacarias Manilan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Roca's Anselmo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Abadie in the 98th minute of play. Colon de Santa Fe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
