Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dionisio Elizardo in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saverio Matia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Dionisio Elizardo sped through Athletic de Bilbao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Saverio Matia.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Mazuste stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sergio Mazuste struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Saverio Matia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Roca. Anselmo Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Etxeberri in the 94th minute of the match. Deportivo Roca's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
