Serafino George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Erroman in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Erroman came free, but Serafino George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Hurko hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes of play, River Plate's Baldomero Abeitia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino George was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ermegildo Lizardi stood somewhat misplaced when Roman Cucao came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 32 minute. 37 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Abeitia came free, but Serafino George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino George yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Cucao in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Lizardi saved River Plate from getting behind. Talleres's Serafino George played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Erroman in the 60th minute of play. If Baldomero Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Remigio Erroman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serafino George. That made the score 1-3 in the 76 minute of play. Enzo Asur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Serafino George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The River Plate fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when River Plate's Remigio Erroman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Serafino George managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when River Plate's Baldomero Abeitia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 94 minutes into the match, River Plate's Baldomero Abeitia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafino George narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
