Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Etxekopar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cirilo Peru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jose Gabrio fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 24 Horas's protests and gave Jose Gabrio a yellow card for diving instead. 21 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Gonzo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosario Central's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 24 Horas the free kick. Cirilo Peru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Raymon in the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of Rosario Central booed when 24 Horas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Locaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Gonzo struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Cirilo Peru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosario Central. A collision led to 24 Horas getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Clodoveo Lidon hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Maximiliano Gonzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cirilo Peru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Etxekopar in the 36th minute of play forced 24 Horas's goalkeeper Cirilo Peru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, 24 Horas's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Gonzo came free, but Cirilo Peru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maximiliano Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wellington Almeida made a kick off. In the 61st match minute, Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Orzaize to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Orzaize's late challenge caught a 24 Horas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Gonzo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 24 Horas's Wellington Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Julio Raymon notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of 24 Horas's Cirilo Peru. Cirilo Peru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Roque Etxekopar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cirilo Peru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosario Central's Roque Etxekopar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cirilo Peru. That made the score 0-6 after 86 minutes of play. In the 90th minute, 24 Horas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dario Astudillo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 24 Horas made a substitution. Ariel Otsoko replaced Wellington Almeida. Maximiliano Gonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Peru having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Mauro Tancredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 24 Horas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosario Central the free kick. In the 97th minute Maximiliano Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Peru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 99th minute of the match Rosario Central got a corner. 24 Horas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roque Etxekopar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dario Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Peru having to interfere.
