Jardón AFC's Cristobal Santio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Flor in the 3rd minute of play. Ubaldo Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Cleto Bihar put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cristobal Santio. 11 minutes into the game, Hugo Flor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jardón AFC the free kick. In the 12th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Flor to maneuver through the defense. River Plate's Alfredo Salomone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Jardón AFC's Cristobal Santio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Petri in the 19th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Cleto Bihar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Santio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Ubaldo Theobald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Salomone was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 59th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Goizeder to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Salomone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Theobald, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Chorache in the 63rd minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Alfredo Salomone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Cleto Bihar took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Cristobal Santio to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Cleto Bihar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristobal Santio. That made the score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. If Cleto Bihar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Salomone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Chorache in the 90th minute of the match. Bernardo Larpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Leizarraga hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Adan Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Jardón AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. River Plate were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
