The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oscar Marino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oscar Marino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Fernandes in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Tombstone booed when Alumni V.M was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Rioja didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Anibal Madaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anibal Madaleno fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tombstone's protests and gave Anibal Madaleno a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tombstone's Anibal Madaleno got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Honorato Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tombstone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorato Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Anibal Madaleno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tombstone fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

After 90 played minutes Anibal Madaleno rounded Alumni V.M's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. Tombstone's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
