In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Carolina FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Mikelats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute Cristian Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Mikelats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Bernardino Eutor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bernardino Eutor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Mikelats having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Eusebio Larpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carolina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Larpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eusebio Larpe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gervasio Clodio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Rodriguez in the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Barcala AFC's Rodrigo Aurken got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gervasio Clodio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Rodriguez in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Barcala AFC's zone, Arsenio Donio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Clodio came out of the goal and Arsenio Donio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Aurken hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Balasi to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Barcala AFC got a corner. Carolina FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siro Medardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Maximiliano Manex made a great header on Barcala AFC's corner, it was just that Carolina FC's Celedonio Mikelats managed to reach the ball for a save. Celedonio Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Eutor in the 58th minute of play. If Eusebio Larpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Larpe in the 64th minute of play forced Barcala AFC's goalkeeper Gervasio Clodio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arsenio Donio fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carolina FC's protests and gave Arsenio Donio a yellow card for diving instead. Arsenio Donio kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Carolina FC's Celedonio Mikelats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Eutor in the 88th minute of play.
