Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Erasmo Millan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herminio Arias during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Herminio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Guzman came free, but Lucien Otter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Olentzaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Matia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes of play, Villa Mitre's Javier Matia made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabricio Olentzaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Villa Mitre booed when Guerrero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Llin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Romeo Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Erasmo Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Olentzaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Omar Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvano Pierres hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes Guerrero got a freekick which was hit by Omar Guzman.

51 minutes into the match, Omar Guzman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucien Otter. Villa Mitre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Guzman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Eulalio Cisco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Santio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Olentzaro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Matia in the 65th minute of play forced Guerrero's goalkeeper Fabricio Olentzaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Guerrero's Romeo Faro in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa Mitre's goalie prevented a goal. Omar Guzman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucien Otter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Omar Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, one of Villa Mitre:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Guerrero's Fabricio Olentzaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Guerrero from getting a goal against them. Javier Matia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Olentzaro having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Omar Guzman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucien Otter was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Villa Mitre's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
