Filomeno Azubeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Sundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Filomeno Azubeli came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by River de Gesell's Paolo Baldovino. But to his dismay, Paolo Baldovino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Robin Sundin notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Furvo Fc's Filomeno Azubeli. Filomeno Azubeli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Furvo Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Azubeli should have stopped the shot. Furvo Fc's Filomeno Azubeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Sundin in the 44th minute of play. After the first half River de Gesell were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paolo Baldovino was the one to do the kick off.
