The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Hipolito Cordara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Higinio Ferrando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 6th minute Hipolito Cordara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Ferrando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Berdoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ariel Millano. That made the score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Cordara in the 17th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Higinio Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafino Iliana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Higinio Ferrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Cordara in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Higinio Ferrando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Victoria's Hipolito Cordara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Ferrando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silvestre Oto struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ariel Millano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Hipolito Cordara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Higinio Ferrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciriaco Inocente was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Fernando Loreto made the kick off in the second half. Silvestre Afonso charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvestre Afonso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Afonso. After 57 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Loreto. After a rather tough play, Victoria's Benigno Itzaina got a free kick in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the game, Hipolito Cordara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higinio Ferrando. Hipolito Cordara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. A collision led to Victoria getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Benigno Itzaina hit a great ball. Ariel Millano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Oto in the 76th minute of the match. If Serafino Iliana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hipolito Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Eustacio Joseph got a free kick in the 86th minute. Serafino Iliana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Ferrando having to interfere. Higinio Ferrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Cordara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Serafino Iliana could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Higinio Ferrando however easily saved by the left post. When the final whistle sounded Victoria left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Racing Club.
